What you get from us

Our promise

There is a lot of information about our Aby family on our website and you can see all about us and our approach to breeding by following us on social media, links on our website. We take great care to breed small numbers of healthy, top quality pedigree Abyssinians focusing on the 4 traditional colours of Usual, Sorrel, Blue and Fawn.

Our kittens are raised in our own home from champion lines and are not affected by inherited diseases PKDef (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency), PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy).  We use Chalkland Vets to look after the health of our Aby family and Langford Vets for genetic testing.

We abide by the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) breeders code and are members of the Abyssinian Cat Club in the UK.

Interested parties should read and must agree to our Kitten Placement Policy. Our cats are bred to be indoor cats and so we do not sell to homes where they will be allowed to free-roam but we do look for homes with outdoor escape-proof fenced areas & protected environment catios. All our kittens are harness trained indoors before leaving us.

When joining their forever home our kittens will be fully socialised, harness trained, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, insured, registered with the GCCF, come with formal papers including the GCCF registration card, signed pedigree certificate and written contract, plus a introductory kitten pack to help them settle in their new home. We offer a lifetime of advice and support for our bred Abyssinians and their new owners.

An adorable pedigree KARIQUI Abyssinian is a delightful companion. If looking at other breeders please do your research when comparing and do check what is included in the purchase price; sadly not all breeders are reputable! We can recommend fellow trusted breeders from the Abyssinian Cat Club if you wish.

Our kittens will be ready to join their forever home once the vet is happy they are recovered from neutering, at circa 14-15 weeks of age or so, once all the necessary preparations and paperwork has been completed.

If you are still interested, please complete the Contact Form and once received you will receive a more detailed Kitten Enquiry Form to complete. Our usual procedure once we have reviewed the Kitten Enquiry Form is then for us to have a Whatsapp video call to introduce ourselves, discuss available kittens and answer any questions.  If we all agree to proceed we then invite the buyer to visit our home when we have a suitable litter to see the available kitten and its mother in their own environment. If we all then feel it is the right match then at that stage we require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve the kitten.

Visits to see the reserved kitten are welcome in the weeks post vaccination.

Available Kittens & Future Litters

Our next litters are planned for summer 2026 and are likely to be available for rehoming from November 2026 onwards.

We are also happy to recommend fellow breeders whom we trust and who may have kittens available.

Please read our Kitten Placement Policy and take careful note of our contractual conditions; we do not sell to people who intend a KARIQUI Abyssinian to be a free roaming cat. If you are willing to comply, then use the  Contact Form to be added to our waiting list
